Bayside Stone House
The construction of the Bayside Stone House was the second complete project GCID completed for the clients – a young family with three active children. The adjacent apartment and cabana structure was added when the clients added a pool to the property.
Once the site was selected, GCID helped to guide the clients in the selection of the architects and builders and worked closely with them throughout the design and construction process.
In the main house, the open floorplan spreads out over 6,000 square feet along Meydenbauer Bay. The main level features open areas for family living and entertaining. The lower level houses a screening room, a game room, and lakeside gym. GCID was charged with designing and selecting finishes and furnishings that would be durable and easy to maintain without sacrificing style. GCID created a vibrant pool cabana and additional dwelling unit inspired by a midcentury modern color palette. Designed to stand up to heavy use by kids and guests, every finish and fabric was selected for its durability and performance—without compromising on style. The spaces layer cheerful color, bold pattern, and clean-lined furnishings that nod to classic midcentury design while maintaining a fresh, contemporary energy.
The owners' vibrant personalities truly show through in the home's bold and whimsical palette.
