Highland House

Perched on the grand boulevard of Spokane's historic South Hill is the early century Highland House.

Originally designed as a formal home, the client desired a more livable contemporary floor plan, one that could accommodate a busy family lifestyle.

The challenge for the GCID team was to maintain the home's historical integrity while expanding and opening the space for fluid movement and function.

GCID created generous yet intimate living spaces, choosing moldings and cabinetry detail consistent with the proportions and styling of the original home.

Clean lined antiques layer with modern furnishings to seamlessly blend old with new. An expansive art collection reinforces and energizes seating groupings while color helps to delineate space.
