Historic Estate

Working in collaboration with Seattle’s AOME architects, GCID tackled the complete renovation of a historically significant lakefront home. The original Lionel Pries design was thoughtfully reimagined for a pair of empty nesters entering a new chapter of life. With a strong foundation in traditional style, the design honors the architectural integrity of the original home while introducing modern touches that enhance comfort and livability.

Our clients wanted a space that felt both refined and inviting—a place where their adult children would feel truly at home. We carefully integrated their existing collection of antiques and art, allowing the interiors to reflect their personal history and sense of style. The large-scale residence was designed to serve multiple functions: elegant entertaining for large gatherings and events, and cozy, livable spaces for quiet moments with family.

From formal dining and living areas to more intimate nooks and lounges, each space balances warmth with sophistication. The result is a home that feels grounded and gracious, tailored for meaningful connection, celebration, and everyday enjoyment on the lake.
